February 1, 2011 Oklahoma City Winter Blizzard/Snow Storm

This is video from Oklahoma City, Moore and Norman taken on Tuesday Feb 1, 2011. 6-12 inches of snow fell locally, and 30-40 mph winds created virtual white out conditions prompting a Blizzard Warning. On the heels of this snow storm came bitter cold temperatures, with wind chills reaching below zero.

This video includes vehicles stuck in the snow along with near white out conditions experienced in Oklahoma City, Moore and Norman.

I pulled the Oklahoma City Police officer out of the snow. I wasn't able to help any others due to how deep they were stuck in the snow.

Do you know winters are much milder in White Rock, Canada than they are in Oklahoma City - as measured by weighted average wind chill temperature? In fact, every winter that has so far transpired this decade in White Rock, Canada has made Oklahoma City look like frozen arctic tundra by comparison (no joke!). I'm just curious if that surprises you?
