Brief demo clip I shot at the amp show of soon to come Bogner Alchemist guitar amp - that's Reinhold Bogner himself in the foreground, making a video while an amazing guitar player tries out the new Bogner Alchemist head and 2x12 cabinet.

  • they dont master volume i believe,no good for me at home, shame, i want one....

  • On the contrary - this is a very sophisticated amp, with two channels and a Master volume, that can play as loud or as quietly as you want. It even has a switch to change the output from 40 watts to 20 watts. Of course, it will not sound quite the same as this video if the master is turned down very low - the best tone comes from pushing the output tubes into distortion just a bit. But it will still sound pretty darned good anyway!

  • does anyone know how much this is gonna cost? i know its gonna be cheaper than the custom ones but by how much? thx

  • Hi, they are all going for close to $1000, a little less for just the head, a little more for the 1x12 or 2x12 combos, and a few hundred for the separate 2x12 cab. They are cheaper because they are made in the Line 6 factory in China. Line 6 quality control is pretty damn good, so I have no worries on that score.

  • Do you know when they might be offering these in North America?

  • Nobody knows for sure, it's whenever the boat gets here from China, some time this summer.

  • thats true. Line 6's may not sound the best, but they rarely ever have reliability issues

  • Mmmmmkay, I suppose this would have some significance to that tiny minority of guitarists out there who speak fluent French. If you want the rest of us to understand your point of view, you will need to find an interpreter. Bear in mind that for example the Orange Tiny Terror and the Egnator Rebel, some of the most acclaimed amps of the past couple of years, are also made in China. It seems that Mr. Bogner is building on that example to mass produce a product with similar quality and value.

  • thanks for the info paul, good man!

  • Wow thats surprising from bogner, im holdin off my purchase now until i see these things in canada so i can try it.
