The problem is that if you ask an american about his country, he wouldn't say

"We like to throw our soldiers into other people's wars because there's oil included."

"We think we are better than the rest of the World all together and that God blesses us"

Being patriotic and being ignorant aren't synonymous. I'm sure your mother is proud of you even though you aren't perfect, and I wouldn't call her a hypocrite.

I've just listed facts.

But I do fell insulted when I see on TV americans saying "God bless america", and stuff like that.

And you probably heard what americans say about the rest of the world.

Being patriotic when your country does what you know it does is hypocrisy.

You should really read over your comments before posting them. There is no need to deride other people's beliefs in such an insulting way.

Patriotism in its purest sense is just loving your country. If we don't require people to be perfect in order to love them, why should we require a country, which is made up of people, to be perfect in order to feel patriotic? I believe true patriots, and really all people in general, simply want their country, and the world to be a better place.
