Conrad Oberg was born three and a half months prematurely in the Summer of 1994. Weighing only one and a half pounds at birth, Conrad was left with no eyesight in his left eye and only 15% of the vision in his right. At age two, Conrad taught himself to play the piano, and again taught himself the guitar at age ten. Conrad has been performing solo live performances since he was four years-old, and has been fortunate enough to meet and/or perform with some of the greats of the entertainment industry. Conrad has been performing with his own band for the past three years, playing his own brand of blues,roots, and rock music. dude. im thoroughly impressed, and nothing impresses me in this lifeless music era. i was a fellow guitar child "prodigy" and i know what it takes to play like that... but dude, i couldnt play anything like that when i was 12. you are one of the only true players left. and youre not a poser!! maybe one day well cross paths. keep on truckin. and pace yourself. im sure you already know there is crazy future ahead of you. good luck and godspeed brother.

I find it just a little strange I've been admiring Conrad for about a year now and am actually a big fan, but just found out today of his vision impairments. Conrad is one of the huge reasons I bought a great Les Paul and learned the pentatonic scales and when I need that inspirational boast. I just play a clip of Conrad and I'm motivated by his obvious love for music and natural expressiveness that makes listening and playing a pleasure. Now lets hear some originals by Conrad!

I agree. I dont think I've heard him talk or give an interview in his other videos, just play music. It's nice to get a little insight about him and how he got started so young.
