Although it may look that way, the engines are probably all running at the same throttle setting. The four engines are all slightly different, though, so some engines run slightly faster or slower than others, not enough to make any significant difference in thrust. However, because the props are rotating, the camera exaggerates any difference in speed because of camera recording speed.

I wonder why they had the right inboard engine working faster on the B-17?

Yeah, I don't remember it either, same reason :). Although I spend a whole week on the flightline.

I got to fly the blue SNJ, at Osh 2001, the a/c number is 214. It is at 3:04 in the video. THANKS!
