Rodney Monroe was one of the greatest players in the history or MD High School BBall. I remember the first time I saw him play against Dunbar and they had Sam Cassell and a boatload of players. It did'nt matter he scored something like 30 and they won. Then the next year he turned around and hit a 60 foot shot to win against another city power Lake Clifton was one of the best shooters I ever saw. The Hawks did'nt capitalize on his talents they tried to make him a point guard.

Rodney Monroe is the greatest player to ever go through the md catholic basketball schools.... I can still remember being young watching Goretti, him and Kenyatta Mason were ALOT of fun to watch as a kid, those two could do no wrong in my eyes then that led right into him and Chris. I can still remember when they both came to the summer camp ran by the best coach in the area Cokey Robertson. Another memory, Goretti coming out to "lean on me", still sends shivers down my spine.
