Nike Cash For Tricks 2011 - Sopelana

Reubyn Ash revelled in the innovative format of Nike 6.0's Cash For Tricks
by claiming victory in the first stop of the 2011 series.
Ash was the standout on a day of cutting edge aerial surfing in 3ft (waist to shoulder high)clean peaks at Bilbao's Sopelana beach. "I love the format and the vibe in
these Nike 6.0 Cash For Tricks events," admitted a stoked Reubyn, under blazing sunshine at the end of day that showcased the most progressive surfing from some of Europe's sharpest talents. "It's just wicked. You just go out and relax and kinda freesurf."

Other stand outs included recent Nike 6.0 team signing Jonathan Gonzalez,
Vincent Duvignac ( Mimizan-France) and Jean-Carles 'Jex' Debray(Guadeloupe), but ultimately Ash's variety paid off,literally, with his scoring tricks including a Passion Pop, lofty air reverses, liens and alley oops.

With invitees from France, Spain, Portugal, the UK and French island
territories, the cosmopolitan field treated Basque beach go-ers to an array
of innovative wave riding in this, the first event in the 2011 Nike 6.0 Cash
For Tricks series.
