Excerpts of the Columbus State University Trombone Ensemble with Denson Paul Pollard performing "A Beautiful Noise" by John Frith in concert on 20 November, 2011 in CSU's Legacy Hall. Pollard was in residence to record the piece for an upcoming CSU Trombone Ensemble CD with guest artists, and to perform this and three other pieces with the CSU Trombone Choir in its fall concert. "A Beautiful Noise" was written for British bass trombonist Jonathan Warburton and the CSU Trombone Ensemble, and was premiered by Warburton and CSU at the 2009 Eastern Trombone Workshop. We are pleased to include the piece on our multi-year recording project. It is published by Warwick Music. The CSU Trombone Ensembles are under the direction of Dr. Bradley Palmer. More information about the trombone studio and opportunities at Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music can be found by visiting the CSU Trombone Studio Website at http://music.ColumbusState.edu/trombone
