A better video of her hand movements that she does very frequently. She even started doing it now without holding anything. Please someone tell me if they have seen this before?? Were so worried.

  • My babies both did this. Never had anything wrong with them and they just stopped doing it when they got older. I think it's perfectly normal.

  • The person who said that, "75 percent of children who are autistic actually suffer from some form of down syndrome" doesn't know what they're talking about. They're not the same thing at all.

  • @KyrielleBlue Really? Someone said that? rediculous.

  • My toddler does this same thing and her neurologist believes she has rett syndrome, as parents when we worry it's just best to ask your pediatrician, cuz it might be something or it could be nothing to worry about. But it's best to know....I hope she doesn't have anything, God bless

  • @Tawnie2g1b what the hell r u talking about it has nothing 2 do with downs syndrome u moron!

  • @sdsurf8469 As for the video, I don't know. My son has autism... but when this video was taken, it seems like your baby was really too young for me to form an opinion on it. I see that this was uploaded in 2008... how is she now? :)

  • My 8 month old does the same... Please stop driving yourself crazy with worry. I know, it's hard not to worry, because even I do.

  • curious as to why you took the book away from her...she seemed very interested in it.?

  • I came across this video when my son was about 7 months old. He did exactly the same thing, and I nearly had a nervous breakdown worrying about autism. At 15 months, he outgrew it and is perfectly fine! Not saying it cannot be a sign of something more serious, but for my son it definitely was not and I spent a lot of time worrying about nothing.
