Batallioni IV "Ali Demi" - - - Δ' Τάγμα "Αλή Ντέμη"

Ali Demi is a Hero of Albania of World War II,born in Filiates, Greece in 1918, and died during a battle with German forces in Vlora, Albania in 1943.

In his honour the Greek People's Liberation Army formed and named a mixed unit of both Greeks and Cham Albanians in May 1944, the IV "Ali Demi" battalion.

Get serious the Chams were either with the Nazis and the Italians and commited many atrocities and killed many Epirot civilians. By the end of the war they left Epirus with their own will. The Chams only changed sides from the Nazis to the Greek communists only to fight and kill Greeks they didnt have any ideology.
