if you haven't tried yet, i recommend capcom vs snk2. They have a lot of "gauge systems" including a parry mechanic. Besides, it's a awesome game.

also massive noob wanting to get good at akuma and seeing as u have 7+ years experiences would appreciate all the tips you could get if u play me next as the gulf between skill levels on third strike is horrendous ( though sometimes I do simply lose to the same thing because of lack of experience with things such as yun's REALLY tense blockstrings...). thanks man =)

( real patashnik) yea @ 18:16 was abit of a wtf moment for me too.. the glitchs on 3rd strike ey? O_o, there was a glitch a friend showed me with makoto where she faces the opposite direction of your character allowing for a free cross up (which is weird) . to be fair that first round I also got lucky jumping around like a fool as my means to hold pressure (been told to work on my ground game but the gou zankuu option is such bad habit to hide behind).. gg though hope to play you again
