  • Is it bad when the membranes dry?

Glad to see you helped this poor thing hatch :D

  • @ChloebBlue Hi, it is bad if the membranes are so dry that the baby cannot progress or hatch. Many babies die during the hatching process because of dry membranes.

  • I see blood..

  • @classyladybella

WTF...never mess with the egg or "help" the bird, you can damage to little baby

  • that took a while!

  • awww

  • Are they still alive?m so scared right now..sorry to say ,but it's looking like you're torturing 'em..

  • @classyladybecca Cute baby! Is it a boy or girl? Im too curious! She/He looks just like a newborn human baby, But even cuter and fragile!

  • Classylady, wht happens if you help the baby hatch all the way? And nice nails ! Haha your really not kiding bout the ignorant people. You k ow wht your doing so keep making videos very helpful

  • @classyladybecca Thats good. I have never raised any non mamals. I actually have never owned any non mamals. I did take care of an iguanna once.

  • @MossclawHarryPotter It's kind of funny how many people have commented on the long nails. So many people act as though I'm killing the baby, and I'm not. My goal is to educate people about the growth and development of birds, and that--even with long nails--it's ok to handle the babies. The acrylic actually makes the nails less sharp, better for handling them. Cleanliness is the key! :)

  • @classyladybecca

No its ok i have long nails two (yes i am a girl). I was just wondering since some people cut theirs when they do something. Like my Aunt cut hers to play harp. Ok i dont know exactly what i was trying to say there... oh well.

  • @MossclawHarryPotter Yes, the nails were real, but I coated them to keep them strong. I have my nails short now. Why do people make such a big issue about the nails? They really weren't that long. Lots of women wear their nails long, and even wear fake ones. Just wondering why it's an issue? :) ?

  • @classyladybecca Wew thats a relief. Those are some long nails. are they real?

  • @MossclawHarryPotter No harm done...I know what I'm doing :). If a baby is stuck in the egg and you want to make sure it lives, yes, prodding and pulling at the shell is essential.

  • @FightMusic94 eh, I DID use my fingers...??

  • use ur fingers next time!

  • @classyladybecca its bad for nature not for individual organisms, we make geneticly weaker the entire man kind any time we make an intervention, medicine is a prety bad thing for human evolution, however medicine is really good for our society, makes all individuals competitive sometimes ignoring a bad genetical charge.

Humans have much more than our genetic charge to survive, but most of the animals only have their own bodies to survive and they need a good genetical charge for this.

  • @Chachitoxx How is it bad for nature??? All birthing of animals needs intervention here and there. Are you telling me that docs shouldn't help kids be born? I'm all about saving lives.

  • @lovebedz Well, having had 40 years of experience with birds, he would have died during the hatching process. He was in the egg 24 days. He should have hatched in 18. While he started the process on the own, he was having difficulty due to dry membranes. No harm in helping a baby that is truly ready.

  • i dont believe that he was ready 2 cum out

  • @Chachitoxx That's a very silly thing to say. I'm all about saving lives, and this little bird is now a parent of healthy babies!

  • You are interfering with natural selection, that litle bird has to die even if we think it is cruel. Thisis bad for nature

  • @classyladybecca nature is cruel at our eyes, but that is not a reason to interfere with it.

You are interfering with natural selection. Now that litle bird will give his defective genoma to all his descendancy making the entire especie a litle bit more weaker. That litle bird has to die, that is evolution and you are interfering whit it... and this is very bad for nature

  • @classyladybecca Can you tell me a bit about how to do that. Im not planning on trying it im just wondering.
