  • I don't remember who the artist is, I'm sorry

  • Awesome collection of images. Thank you, Alan. You should send this to PBS cause it would make a great American experience story.

  • @alonenjersey bullshit

  • Nice compilation celebrating our city's long gone baseball venues (man, I really wish I could've been there on Bedford back in the day for a Trolley Dodgers game--and a frank with mustard & lemonade--at Ebbets. Fuckin' bitch-ass O'malley!!!). I really do approve of vids like this one. Because you know NY's youth is all over sites like this. And it does show 'em that both the Yanks & Metropolitans are originally Manhattan-based baseball franchises because of their original NYC locations.

    Good.

  • Outstanding video. Done with class. Thanks.

  • Why is capitalism bad? Because it values luxury boxes over beauty and history.

  • That picture of Say Hey's catch and the Polo Ground's background has to be baseballs greatest picture. I'd never seen it before. WOW!

  • great video...Who was the big band in the background??Almost sounds like Stan Kenton or maybe Maynard Fergueson...

  • At the age of 8 my Dad took me to my first baseball game He had always been a rabid Giants fan and so we went to the Polo Grounds to see the Giants play the Dodgers This was 1957 the last year I actually don't remember much about the game but afterwards we went to the door where the players were leaving and in the crowd Willy Mays stepped on my foot Years later I saw the Mets play the Giants there and I also went to Yankee stadium and Shea Stadium but never made it to Ebbets Field end of an era

  • A time it was. And what a time it was.

  • nice work!!!!
