This one won't be up long! I recorded it late and quiet (my roomate was sleeping- so I'm compensating by hitting harder than normal). It aint pretty but it will show different ways you can keep a groove going with no drums or click track. It's putting all that technique together WHILE feeling a GROOVE under each lil piece. I'll replace this with a better one in a week or so, maybe even with something planned out. Enjoy and comment while it's here!

Extra notes:
- with all the slappin in "E" out there- I thought it'd be cool to do some in A flat. Peep it.

- I just put on new Nickel Coated strings which I've never used before. I left the old Stainless G string on though. So 3 Nickel strings. I don't think they're suited well to this type of playing, although I dig 'em for real bass playing.

  • That would make a very boring solo bass video my friend. You gotta use different skills for different situations/gigs. If every bassist did what you said, it'd be a boring world, and there'd be no Billy's, Victors or Jaco's... get my drift?

  • to "9reasy5am"!!

  • Wow. No, seriously, plenty of bass stranglers 'round here, somentimes you may find something nearly good... You are a bass player!! Bravo!!!

  • love your playing!

Great bass too, too bad that they don't make the DJ model anymore.

  • @udawggy The funk cuts deep at 1:14. 2:47 changes the world continued through 3:11 and then what confusion helter to the skelter 3:58 it will be alright.. Thats the way I see it anyway. Keep on keepin on

  • VERY GOOD

  • @doublethumpbass89

Everything is easy once you know how to do it. But to learn it, is another thing. Now this guy has probably practiced like hell, and now he has reached the ultimatium. Of course it's easy for him now.

To learn slap and to learn play a chord on the guitar... Big difference in the training. But when you know how to do it... Voilá. Easy peasy.

  • Sounds like Victor's wooten stuff.
