Made a animated sprite library that can load multiple frames from a single sheet and can use key frames for easy access:

animatedsprite.createAnimation("talk", 0, 0, 5);
animatedsprite.createAnimation("ponder", 0, 1, 7);
animatedsprite.interval = 150;
animatedsprite.setAnimation("ponder");

Actual sheet (without alpha for easy viewing) can be found here: http://random.blobz.net/phoenixsheet.jpg (the red dots indicate a keyframe)

  • cool stuff. I've tried with limited success in making animation stuff before. I want to make an game animation package that takes a load of images, makes them into the most optimal spritesheet, and then lets you make animations using the different frames. Keep going, dude. This is great!

  • Once its optimized. I will release its source to the public,

  • Nice. I'm moving over from BlitzBasic to XNA, this stuff is easy in Blitz, I'm hoping it is in XNA too.
