I love Mad Men but you could not get a Rothko in that style for $10k in 1962. The average price was nearly twice that ($18k).

It's mentioned in "Mark Rothko: A Biography" by James Breslin, which is a fantastic biography. He charts Rothko's earnings for each year as part of the narrative.

I was looking for this scene for about half and hour now. Unfortunately, I doubt anyone knows what a Rothko is (Neither did I) or how to spell it. I was thinking of uploading this scene myself (The first one). What program did you use to edit it?
