exactly, everybody responds to different training types, I am the same as you, I feel I need to lower the weight slow and controlled and not bounce the weight off my chest but nip my shirt pretty much, thats what counts as a rep in my book, but yeah whatever works the individual is what they should stick too ;)
I noticed that too - ie, bouncing the weight, and not lifting to full extension. It all depends on what makes you feel like you succeeded. Personally, I know that if I can't lower the weight under complete control (no bounce) and then lock out the rep, then I haven't "lifted" that weight. But, whatever works for the individual.
same here, i sometimes do partial reps just because it works for me, it feels good

He really wasn't bouncing the weight, he was simply bringing it to his chest. I personally have longer arms and feel more when I do partial reps.
