A little hint from the voice of experience from owning a '55 convertible named "Doris." Keep a rubber mallet under the front seat for when the fuel pump quits. Trust me.
My 17 year old Daughter just bought a 54, its in great condition, been in storage for 2 years, I stripped the brakes down to inspect.... what a clever place for the master cylinder grrrr. what a great little car tho, shes the envy of all her friends
I rescued mine from a 17 year slumber. pistons were siezed, I put some diesel down the bores to free it, gave the fuel pump a clout and it started! great cars. I just hated the brakes on them.
