Hello on this Wednesday, November 7, 2007. I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update.

Britney Spears is being ordered to pay thousands of dollars for Kevin Federline's attorney fees. The L.A. Superior court commissioner says she'll have to hand over 120,000 dollars in all legal fees having to do with their custody battle. He says the majority of the litigation had to do with Spears' actions. Her ex Kevin Federline's attorney originally asked for 160,000 in fees. The two are still battling it out for custody of their sons...two year old Sean Preston and one year old Jayden James.

Stars are lining up to support the Writers Guild strike. "Saturday Night Live's" Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers stood along the picket lines. Jay Leno was also seen at the strike, passing out doughnuts to the writers. The strike immediately shut down production of programs like "The Late Show With David Letterman" and "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno." The Writers Guild, the studios and networks are looking to resume talks.

Some of country music's biggest stars were honored at last nights' BMI Country Awards. Willie Nelson won the icon award. Several artists performed tributes to Nelson including Keith Urban, Josh Turner and Toby Keith. Jefferey Steele grabbed songwriter of the year and his song "What Hurts Most," performed by the Rascal Flatts took best song.

Country star Clay Walker is donating his money to a cause that hits close to home. The singer is giving 25,000 dollars to Multiple Sclerosis research at Vanderbilt University. Walker was diagnosed with MS in 1996 and has been treated at the medical center at the University. He says he's donating the money because he's been so blessed and wants to give hope to others with the disease.

Tom Cruise is being recognized for his work in film. The actor showed up with his wife Katie Holmes at the Museum of Moving Image Gala in New York last night. The museum honored the actor at the event, showing clips from several of his hit films like "Rain Man" and "Far and Away." The actor is currently working on a new film "Valkyrie."

That's all for now. Go to upi.com for the latest news headlines.
