My Scout -- he's such a tender, reliable, vivacious presence and I wish I could convey him to you accurately. It's been a happy 3 years. It seems like 10. It seems like no time at all.
I miss our beginnings, though. If only we could start over. But isn't that the way of life? After all, what is beautiful is easily lost.
