  • this is the way foward it might not be free range but at least the birds can live without being crushed

  • Hugh is an absolute legend !!!

I am so greatful for what he has done to bring the free-range issue considerably more public attention, and theres no denying he has had an effect.

What a guy! I have infinitely more respect for him than some of the brainless wonders commenting on videos like this.

  • This is nothing AT ALL what a chicken house looks like!?!! it is filled with dust half dead chickens and more chicken shit than you can possibly imagine. Ive been in dozens of houses and this is bull shit

  • isnt it amazing, all i want to do is some research and i get pestered by endless FUCKING ADVERTS - YOUTUBE.... IM TALKING TO YOU - FUCKING ARSEHOLES

  • LOL'd at ppl on here comparin chickens with concentration camps lol

  • Can anybody tell me what season and episode is this( if it is from the River Cottage) thanks.

  • keeping chickens is so rewarding...if i who live in London with an average sized garden can take care of 3 then most people can. You form an attachement which is quite charming. They're not just pets, they provide me with eggs and in return they get fed nutritionally, I give them apple cores, pear skin and seeds and are left to roam and forage in the garden...the only downside is that they poo so much and it's rather gloopy. I believe it was Hugh who inspired me.

  • Thank you for this video..thank you! I really agree with the guy's last words on this video. Indeed 3finker 'Buy Free Range or Go Vegetarian'

  • How nice that they gave the Chickens another two weeks of life! and gave them about as much room as the Gypsies Jews, Jehovahs Witnessess and Gays had in the concentration camps; we called those abusers? Monsters. Let's remember these poultry never feel a rain drop, enjoy natural foraging, feel fresh air or see other species, except for the hand that feeds them. Future generations will condemn such methods of factory farming as a pitiless and unecessary abuse.

Buy Free Range or Go Vegetarian

  • i spouse if it looks good on the cover then at least the farmer can still do his job that he set out to do. I do pity the poor farmer that put his life on the line to make a buck. But then its only the consumer to blame because of his practice because of cheaper food for them. Only until you go an kill your own animals to eat that you have a reason to complain about the way things are done

  • @lioxoda On your way then Satchmo...twat.

PS: The word truly doesn't require an e.
