I am a fan of Old school rap, and dislike 99% of all modern rap. All they seem to rap about is selling drugs, disrespecting women, and how much they hate Amerikkka. Now i have a new favorite Rap artist...Keep up the good work Infidel. much respect from this Cuban conservative.

Francis Hutcheson (Irishman, 1730s-60s) explained the public good is found in the private pursuit, BUT only if private pursuit is balanced w/ the public good. One at the expense of the other is oligararchy or anarchy. Take your pick. Since Jefferson, Adams & Madison revered Hutcheson's ideas, & those ideas tend toward a liberal view of humanity, I do as well.

@tcrogg Uhm ...Earth to tcrogg, the liberals of today are not true liberals. This country was founded on the libertarian philosophy --hence "liberal." According to libertarianism, a true liberal would be opposed to the welfare state and social spending. A true liberal would support capitalism. If you find the time, do some reading and educate yourself on "metaphysics," particularly the libertarian/capitalist philosophy and the socialist/communist philosophy. Then apply a little critical thought.

@wconeal1 Actually liberalism referred to the libertarian/capitalist principals this country was founded on. My ethics professor explained this to me years ago. The socialist had tarnished their name with the proven failure of their ideology, so they just keep reinventing themselves by calling themselves something different. They will merely continue their attempts to sell the same socialist/communist ideology under a different name.
