Oftentimes collectors will call your cell phone (or home phone) looking for someone else. If they continue to call you after you tell them they have the wrong number, this can be harassment under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). If the calls are to your cell phone from an auto dialer or with pre-recorded messages (or your home phone with pre-recorded messages) then the TCPA - Telephone Consumer Protection Act may be violated. Please feel free to call me at 205-879-2447 or visit my website at www.AlabamaConsumer.com
