This is a preview of the new cooking show "Detroit Over Easy" that recently started filming at the historic Detroit Yacht Club. It features DYC's own talented Executive Chefs Ken Dixon and Paul Hughes. The show is written by award winning screenwriter Mike N. Kelly and is produced by J. Lauri Filmworks. "We wanted to do something special for the city, something that Detroit could embrace and call its own. The mix of great healthy food, easy preparation, and live music performed by Detroit's musicians is truly unique" remarked Chef Paul Hughes. Detroit Over Easy also showcases Michigan products from local farms, markets and retailers. Chef Ken Dixon says "It's all about using the best of what Michigan has to offer and enjoying it without spending a fortune."
The show includes the appearances of Rare Standard, The Island Fun Band, Inti Bella, Katherine Rust Ferguson Allman, Tonino Zaccagnini, Rojelio Padilla, and Pam Owens German. The production crew includes multiple Emmy-Award winner Scott Allman, songwriter Joey Bowen and manager Jeff Coleman.
The opportunity to become a member of the show's live audience (and enjoy the wonderful food and paired wines) will be available for those who make a special donation to a charitible organization to be announced soon.
