Here are a couple of test that, enable people who have this camera, to adjust certain settings while recording under lowlight conditions, TIP!!! Never use the iA on video mode, it ruins the shot under noisy conditions.Always use these settings instead, or which ever you perfer.

Filmed using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 at night approximately 12am under moist and partly clouldy skies. And under street lights. The video says it all.

All at the lowest setting possible 11 Lux I think ;)

  • You knew that the Panasonic FZ50 had a 1/1.8 inch sensor {:0 wtf!! Believe me I would rather have a bigger sensor than a bigger zoom anyday 12x zoom is fine maybe 18 or 20 too and if panasonic adapts a 1/1.8 inch CCD sensor on there upcomming Bridge cameras that would be great

  • There is software out there ,that can remove a little bit or alot of noise without washing away detail ,try Powerdirector 8 or Sony Vegas those include some noise removal and image exposure tools to brighten up those dark scenes ;)

  • My Panasonic HDC-SDT750 Camcorder does a better job in low light, with less noise and stronger colour performance. And in daylight it delivers excellent video quality

  • @swanty32e how much did it cost you? I want to ge the HDC SD9 cause it has a 3CCD system and it does awesome in lowlight, or ill just get the HS 300 or 700 ;) i do miss those CDD's on camcorders not cameras though ;(

  • @vwlover94 I bought it for around 1,023 dollars =))

  • @swanty32e nice !!! i like how that camera offers full control over audio :)
