Well, it actually is animation. What's throwing you off is that you see Kseniya's hands at work. Imagine that you didn't see her at all. What would be left is shifting sands taking different shapes (as in being animated). Animated cartoons (as you know) don't really move; they are made up of a series of different images each image being fractionally different from the one preceding and the one following. But, if you don't want to call this animation, that's okay, too!
