@kitty16470 Genre wise, it is not really emo. The concept is what you could call "Emo" nowadays due to its darker toned but just because a song is dark, full of emotion, and cryptic doesn't mean it has anything to do with the subculture "Emo".

It means what ever you want it to mean. I take it as a paradox. Her paradise is a lie. A delusion. She hides herself in her own little paradise in her mind like one hides under the covers when it is dark to get a false sense of security. Her situation in life is gloomy and not on par with what she wants it to be. So when she closes her eyes she's thinks of what could have been and that is paradise to her. That's why the song's tone is dark but has a title that is the epiphany of happiness.
