What homeschool is like at the Lyman household; well, minus the squabbles and minor setbacks.

Homeschooling can be a challenge, but what choice do we have when you consider the reality and the clear and present danger of the public school system. To find out more about this, please visit this site: http://www.edwatch.org/ and please order this book: http://www.edwatch.org/

  • Actually i am saved and i find that hypocrit christians like yourself always use that as a defense when they are simply a fool. Anyways best thing to do is ask your children how they feel not what you think they feel. And this has nothing to do with god frankly so to bring religion into this was idiotic and basically Dumbfounded.

  • Well. You have a strange attitude for a "Christian." Considering the fact that you are very insulting and rude to those who you disagree with. But, you are certainly entitled to your opinion about me. Now, you have given your opinion, and I believe we have no further need for discussion. Thank you.

  • @4gospeltruth

Insulting and rude to... uh... have you ever seen streetpreacherUSA? Calling him a misogynistic lunatic would be the biggest understatement i've made in years.

  • @FrostbittenWolf Sorry, but I have never heard of him.

  • I was homeschooled for part of my life and hated every bit of it now i admit i graduated from school at an early age but the fact of no social interaction's with others shows in my life now. My parents thought the same way that homeschooling is the best but its not later on in life your child will be an adult and without the real life decision making the child makes thru social interactions then they become lacking. So they play games online to not feel isolated from the world and become lost.

  • As of this day, my children are incredibly happy. They like homeschool; they are never bored; they have a joyful spirit and are not full of angst like most kids today; they do not watch "American idol" or follow pop culture. They do not want to look like a BRATZ doll. They are in a word: Christians, not perfect, but saved souls! And we have no regrets. I pray that you will be saved too!

  • @6MemoryOfForever9 jobs, more happiness, more activities, etc. Almost all of then appreciate having been homeschooled, and even encourage it, so having kids turn out to hate it is actually rare. Very rare, much more rare than having them hate public or private school. Anyway, just thought I should give some encouraging points due to all the negative and even hateful comments on this video.

P.S. You have very adorable daughters! :D God bless you!

  • @6MemoryOfForever9 faced by homosexuals, which is very hard. People smoked pot, sold drugs in my school, there were knives pulled out, etc... and we're talking here about a public school in a classy area, not some weird ghetto. I WISH I was homeschooled. I have read a report on a Canadian study of homeschooled kids vs. "normal" kids, and it was VERY positive. Not only did they do better in academia, but actually better in later life, they have a higher satisfaction of their jobs, higher paying

  • @6MemoryOfForever9 Plus, every two days you hear of a kid who committed suicide because of bullying or some other reason. My little brother is learning despicable words because of his friends. The information in his textbooks is just plain false or veeeeeery misleading. I have had teachers teach us things, especially in history, so wrong that it was borderline offensive to our intellect. Moreover, the bullying and mockery people get for being Christian is almost as equal to that

  • Frankly I cannot comprehend why "finalfantasyhater" has a problem with this, and why people would give it a thumbs down. I am 19 and seriously planning on one day homeschooling my kids. I have seen both what private and public schools are, from first year up to college, and am now in university. Education has become such a pitiful thing nowadays, and homeschooling would be the best choice, if not for religious reasons, then for educational ones.

  • my daughter is a little chunky and she gets teased a lot to the point that she dosnt want to go to school, i dont think at 7 children should be worried about weight, she is not overweight but i could see the sadness on her face as she tells me she sits alone at lunch time, when i pick her up from elementary school i hear the bad words i learned in high school from those kids and their parents sometimes, for that and other reasons(not religious) we are gonna educate our child at home...

  • I loved being homeschooled!!! And yes our younger yrs were more like that, as we got older we became night owl homeschoolers. But hey i gradutated

  • @finalfantasyhater Since when do kids know what's good for them? Since when is a child's opinion actually pertinent to their upbringing? In what universe should a child have a say in the way that he's raised?

If you aren't thankful for your parents taking the time and spending the extra money to try to give you a decent education, then you are the most ungrateful scumbag I've ever run into. My dad worked his tail off to take care of us; at least I'm thankful for what he did.

  • @StreetPreaching1611 homeschooling should be the childs choice as well as the parents choice if the child wants to be homeschooled ok then if the child doesnt then slowly easing a child into a public school is optional or a private school is another option is ur afraid of all the sex, drugs, drama, and stupid crap that happens in life sadly. Put it this way what harm will it do to ask your child there opinions on what type of schooling they want and how hard is it to listen. now for the trolls.
