1) Point videocam at screen

2) There is no step 2!

Works best on old analog cameras and CRTs, if you still can find them (all the framebuffering and "smarts" of digital TVs and cameras add a lot of lag). Also helps if you can seed the screen with a small amount of light/color to get things started. Relfections of room lights in the screen work, as do most any overlay graphics generated by the TV/camera itself. Autofocus and auto brightness control will help too.
