These are the steps that you need to take to import static meshes/buildings into the UDK. The unwrap UVW Modifier or UVW map is essential for you to get a model in with no errors. Here I import the same model as an ASE and FBX.
Thanks for making these tuts man, I've got loads of these buildings too off random GFX blogs, but they always got messed RIGHT up after being imported to UDK (missing geometry, wierd distortions, no collisions, no textures etc).
Hopefully I'll be able to sort something proper out after checking your lessons!
