This is a very funny early 78rpm recording by pioneer comic Russell Hunting telling of his troubles moving a heavy bureau down a flight of stairs. This record was played on my early Victor Talking Machine model 'D'. I'm sorry for the washed out appearance. I recorded this when the sun was brightest at the window behind and, to be honest, I was too lazy to move this hefty Victor to a more suitably lit area! Many of the early Victors had rather noisy motors and mine is no exception. In spite of these flaws I hope you enjoy this delightful recording as much as I always have.
Thanks for your comments! Russell Hunting recordings (when you can find them!) are always a fun listen. He was one of the real pioneers in early recording and Columbia, as I recall, utilized his robust voice for announcing many of their early wax cylinder records. I'm always pleased to find his records including the elusive later (as Russell Hunting recordings go) pressings such as this one on the Perfect label.

Thanks for your comments! I'm still looking for a horn and reproducer for the Puck. So, for now, it'll have to sit in the window! Thanks again for your comments!

Sounds very good? Where did you get this machine? Are you going to make a video of the puck phonograph?
Thanks
