Kitty never bosses Matt around. She only bosses strangers in the saloon, because they need it. She can take care of herself. But her heart belongs to Matt, she has proven that countless times. And she doesn't have any "baggage" (I take it you mean "emotional baggage"), Kitty is a lady. Belle on the other hand has seen her father murdered, she was abused by those killers, now THAT's emotional bagagge! "Don't get bitter" says Matt to her. And young or old the heart counts!
