Acclimation takes out top award at SAP TechEd conference in Las Vegas
Australian development and consultancy services company Acclimation is continuing to make a name for itself -- winning the 'Demo Jam' Award for innovation at the SAP TechED 2010 conference in Las Vegas.
The relative newcomer was met with loud applause as it demonstrated an example of "incident management" in front of thousands of onlookers at what's regarded as the world's leading industry conference. The application example is based on HTML5 and creates an incident in the SAP ERP system without any software installation on the device.
It is available online or offline and runs on any mobile device running an HTML5 compatible browser such as the highly popular iPad, iPhone and Android.
The technology was developed by Alisdair Templeton, part of an elite team of technical consultants in Acclimation's NetWeaver Practice and independent consultant Matt Harding. The idea stemmed from the growing use of the Apple iPad in business and the increasing desire to extend the reach of the SAP system. This innovative technology can be applied to almost any business process across all industry verticals.
Alisdair Templeton says the technology is the future. "Using a standard web browser to access SAP from any device, from any location and most importantly offline has never been done before. The possibilities for businesses running SAP are limitless."
Just months ago, Acclimation took out two prestigious awards winning the 2010 SAP Best Innovation Award for its Digital Pen Solution ASICS Sales Order Form and the 'Australia's Got Innovation' award at the SAUG Summit - the largest SAP User event in the Asia-Pacific region
