A very simple example of generating an HDR-like result from a single photograph using Lightroom 3. I discuss how to expose your photographs to produce the best starting point to work from, then show some simple steps to compress the dynamic range of the photograph to generate an HDR-like result in Lightroom.

  • holy crap...I finally get the whole thing for LR. Seriously I have been lost in the array of tools we have in LR3. The way you described the histogram, the idea behind exposing to the right, clipping highlight details (basically the same should apply to shadows), the use of the gradient tool, just everything. Excellent job!! Give us more, hahaha!!!
