Awesome vid, I'll be racing there in 2 weeks at the WKA Road Race Nationals in a 125 shifter kart. Ive been checking out all the vids of Thunderbolt here on YT, and your is def the most educational in showing the true speeds of a real racecar. Kudos!

what tires are you using?

I noticed you have a sequential gearbox, how is it using one of those?

@MobileReign
upshifts are GREAT (no lift or clutch) but you have to be deliberate and hit it hard, or you can get 2 gears at once and break the tranny.
Downshifts are tough as you still need to use the clutch and BLIP the throttle hard of you will damage the dogs on the gears.

Thanks!
Thunderbolt should be a BLAST in a shifter cart, have fun!

I was using the Michelin "cup" slicks, the blue version, and the new Hoosier "cup" slicks. I think Sprint1 was on Michelins and the following were on the Hoosiers. Lap times are pretty similar.
