OK, I'm not sure who Shannon is, but if you're reffering to Shanahan as Shanon, we lost him after Yzerman (the longest reigning captain of all time) retired. And didn't we beat Pittsburgh in 2008. Also, didn't your Flames team get defeated in the first round of the playoffs? You have had 1 Stanley Cup win in 1989, and the Wings have 11. Who is the better team?

@redwings1613 I was glad Vancouver knocked the Hawks out in the playoffs but kind of disappointed that we didn't get a chance to do it ourselves. I would say "maybe next season" but I never root for the Hawks to even reach the playoffs. I rooted for Dallas to win their final regular season game so that the Hawks would miss the playoffs completely.
