-
@makmegs They are awesome now since they have been 100% refurbished
-
@Rocketboy1950 thanks, i knew it was familiar.

Hitachis are a classical Melbourne train. They are very reliable and totally safe.
Good video mate. Luck this is just Melbourne. Good luck doing this in Sydney where I live. I think you can get an on the spot fine in Sydney :(
-
Because none of the state governments since 1996 have had forward thinking, instead of planning ahead, they play catch up. The Hitachis were bought back into service after being retired, because they did not have enough trains. The last government starting to spend money again on the railways(everbody complained about the fare increase) the new government will not spend 10cents.

Don't give negative signs to Hitachi!!!

hate the hitachi trains with a passion
1. No heating in winter/no cooling in summer
2. More jerky than a horny 15 year old teenager
3. Smells of burnt brakepad at ever single stop...
i honestly dont know why they are still allowed. They same very unsafe to me...

@makmegs They do have heating and have been extremely reliable and totally safe for well over 30 years. They are jerky because they are old and yes the brakes stink but that's because of the brake blocks they choose to use and no fault of the trains.
