Creating Pendants with Ice Resin Part 2

Part 2 of how I fill my sculpted steampunk pendants with Ice Resin. You can find the finished jewelry at http://noadi.etsy.com

The pendants are each sculpted by hand from polymer clay and tiny watch parts are glued into cut out areas before being filled with resin. Each necklace is totally unique.

Hey, does the ICE bond to plastic? like what my idea is.. i wanna sculpt something.. paint it..(with acrylics) then coat it with the ice.. like an all over coat kinda thing.. (not too thick mind you) then let it dry, so if i nick it with my fingernail or if the moving parts go together it wont knock paint off it.. would that work? do you got any idea i mean have you did anything like that?

@SatansMullet Ice resin bonds quite well to polymer clay so it probably will bond well to most plastics. However if you want a hard coat to protect paint an acrylic or urethane varnish is probably a better idea. I use Delta Ceramcoat Interior/Exterior Varnish on my jewelry and it's pretty tough if you use a couple coats.

Thank you for making these videos, they have actually sparked my interest in starting some crafting projects. This resin was exactly what I was looking for. I tried E6000 before but it tends to cloud and discolor over time and it does not harden as nicely.

I'm also interested in getting started with sculpting and mold making but I need a lot more information and tutorials because I'm basically clueless at the moment.

@NoadiArt thank you so much :D see im part of a toy club and we make custom toys and such.. alot of us (I MEAN ALOT) are having problems with paint coming off (cause alot of us still like to pose our toys even though they are fragile) so this should work wonders :D ill probably buy some ice resin anyway though, i got other uses for this stuff it looks amazing
