  • I completely agree that maybe something that big isnt needed, however for my application, it is necessary. 30psi through a 71mm turbo that has a 4" dia. v-band outlet. I'd say that warrants 4" exhaust :)

  • Take your time on the 4" and USE STAINLESS STEEL! It sounds so much better than mild steel. I would say use titanium, but that shit to tooooo expensive and joe schmo cant weld it.

  • Some MK4 supras are running 5" exhaust. Especially with turbos as big as mine. Another reason is 4" is the diameter of the turbine outlet it would be ridiculous to choke it down to 3". 4 inch is not overkill, trust me. For my setup, its just right.

  • Hehe.. it sounds a lot better under a load. Not to mention im using a digital camera to take video. :D

  • It's completely custom fabricated from 4" stainless pipe. i cut and welded the bends for the downpipe, and put in a muffler and welded on hangers etc.

  • Posted a video of how my custom fabbed 4inch exhaust sounds on my car.

  • very nice man, i have one just like that mk3. they're awesome aren't they?

  • 3in is perfect for 7m, ct-26 setup.

Anything bigger you might be loosing some backpressure, and unless you have the piggy/standalone you cant tune your engine.

Factory ECU's were made to work with the back pressure produced by these exhausts.

All you need is BIC DDP,Hiflow/Test Cat, 3in Mandrel, nothing more nothing less.

  • hey is ur name jeff??? and works at toyota as parts manager??

  • @kcarrera1 Yea What are the kids talking about back pressure "cockyyalegs" you got it right. these kids need to go back to school and learn a lil about cars . turbo'd cars dont need backpressure . The bigger the intake and exhaust the more air the turbo can suck in and push out . its all about your setup just dont put a 4" exhaust on a 250 whp supra and expect it to do much . unless your at big numbers at like 500 whp dont worry about higher than a 3. Me of course need 3.5" for 502whp mk3

  • @kcarrera1 I honestly cant even decipher what that message says. Cars do not need ''backpressure'' in the exhaus to run properly. That is a huge car myth. N/A doesnt need back pressure either. The resriction caused by an exhaust on a n/a just changes the power band. Like a F/I vehicle, it will still make peak power with as little exhaust restriction as possible.

  • @CockYaLegS they on'y need a certain amount to work fine but to much and the turbo pays larger exhaust takes away the uneeded back pressure but you still need some don't do it like the huge 5 inch riced out exaust for a n/a

  • @CockYaLegS they on'y need a certaind amount to work fine but to much and the turbo pays

  • @koldfire08 OMG, this comment is old but you are beyond fucking retarded if you think engines, let alone turbocharged ones, run better with 'back pressure.' That is the dumbest car myth ever.

  • @supradupra500 pfft something like that your exhaust should just come right out of one of the front fenders :D

  • i got 3 inch from my turbo catless and it works fine with my t70. i own a 88
