Former Conrail GP40-2 3057 (still in CR blue) and 3047 lead a long Norfolk Southern freight train on the Corning Secondary through Geneva NY on a humid summer evening. The train is seen crossing Elizabeth Blackwell Street in Geneva.

  • Nice work. Is this near the Greyhound Bus Station?

  • This would be about three blocks south of the bus station though I do have a video up that is closer. Look for "Norfolk Southern 8985 at Geneva, NY"

  • Awesome video, awesome power, awesome Leslie RS3L horn!

  • You have a lot of nice stuff on your page too! The engineer gave me a lot of horn that night. How do you guys tell all these horns apart?

  • It's really easy. Especially with RS3L's, no other horn sounds like a RS3L, except maybe a RS5T, but those are rare. K5LA's are the normal junk on Dash-9's. K5LLA's are on SD70M-2's. Look up the different horns on the internet and you can find sound samples.

  • Thanks!

  • How often do trains run on that line?

  • For all the videos you shoot you should have a better camera. It's okay here but on a video of a fast train I noticed it was considerably choppy.

  • Great video!

  • theres alot of NW cars on this train btw how many trains come by a day?here??
