In response to Lofton's idea that we should do away with public education, I would argue that America is slowly morphing into the second world but if you want the country to morph into the third world within a single generation then by all means do away with the public education system. Also a republic is a form of democracy I mean James Madison, JAMES FREAKING MADISON! The fourth president and a founding father said that a republic is a form of representative democracy. John Lofton is an idiot!
