This is the first of 3 installments. We have compiled about 17 minutes and 30 seconds of Part 1 (or side 1 for all of you who have been around long enough to remember when albums were called records and were made of vinyl). With our intro the total running time is 17:52, so this will be in 3 parts for the purposes of youtube.

This was a major challenge to say the least, but everyone involved had a great time taking part. This comes at a time when Jethro Tull are commemorating their 40th anniversary, and we present this as a tribute to them.

Happy 40th Anniversary, Jethro Tull!!!

From EMP...

Jakob Wimmler (Jak) - Flute
Mark Estes - Bass Guitar
Mark DeGregory - Drums & Percussion
Larry Curtis - Guitars, Keyboards, & Vocals

  • Kick-arse, but what happened to the verse starting "the poet and the painter"?

  • @Leanid The same thing that happened to "with their jock straps pinching they slouch to attention while queing for sarnies at the office canteen." We didn't play it. LOL. This is a truncated version, obviously, but it is still longer than what Tull has been playing in concert for the past couple of decades. In total the three segments we did amounts to right at about 18 minutes. Thanks for your comment. LC

  • OMG... this is the second video I've watched of yours. Just watched "Cross-Eyed Mary" and didn't think I could be any more impressed. You have caught the essence of Ian Anderson so WELL !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm left in awe and amazement!!! :-)

  • @MsPreciousParrot I had some excellent help on this one from 3 very talented friends. If you haven't already, I hope you will watch the other 2 segments of this song as well. It was a monster of an undertaking but it was a lot of fun for us.

  • Incredible. I have no words! je je je. I love Jethro. I had the opportunity to enjoy Jethro Tull in Estepona (Spain) in a beautiful and unforgettable concert, and I could talk to Mr Anderson, just a few words... In my opinion Jethro is one of the best bands of all times!

Thanks for the cover and greeting from Spain.

PD: Sorry for my bad English!

  • @DARKSEI Hey, your english is fine. I'm sorry it has taken me 2 months to reply and thank you for your nice comment. Yes, there is none like Jethro Tull, and probably never will be another. It must have been a nice treat to even be able to say hello to Ian, I envy you for that.
