  • cool man. whag u mean removed the rear section and the muffler? Thinking of this header but then theres the fuss with cutting out the stock cat and welding it on etc, not too keen on a hi-flow cat as they usually break and are expensive. Its the only 4-2-1 manifold about for the mini that can bolt in, I dont want to lose any more low-down torque with a 4-1, i would much rather prefer lower down, usable torque, hench thinking of this header

  • by removed the rear section i mean im running a straight pipe i cut off my muffler right at the bend in the 2nd half of the exhaust.

as far as losing torque you don't have any worry's unless you have a free flowing exhaust system (stock is far from free flowing) like mine which is just a 3 foot pipe after the header and cat or magnflow or alta or borla.

  • could u feel a lower down torque improvement with this header with the 4-2-1 design? Like in-gear acceleration?

  • yes there is a significant increase in torque but when i removed the rear section along with my muffler i saw a HUGE increase in hp past 4100rpms my car pulls hard to say the least.

  • awesome thnx alot dude

  • no problem man good luck with the install.

  • how much did those headers and cat cost, and where did you get them

  • its really easy to take out the back seats. only three torx bolts holding the bracket in the rest is pull out. you do need a flat tip to pry the seats out of the bracket but its easy. i have the rear seat delete kit already in mine.

  • there is no bolting when it comes to oem cat + Obx header.... you could cut it off and weild it.

as for the o2 sensor i am running a high flow cat and i still haven't thrown a code.... and you only need one hole for a sensor on the header if you cut your exhaust in the correct spot you will keep the stock hole after the header and cat but before the resonator.

  • do u know if you can bolt on the stock cat to the obx racing header? b/c i just ordered mine, but i have an "S" and i also ordered my Alta perfromance exhaust and was jw if i could use the stock cat otherwise go cat-less n then buy a o2 simm so it doesnt throw off the o2 readings b/c i dont think there is a spot on the obx header for the 2nd o2 sensor...
