Well, here are the clips of the hunter hack classes I was in back in September. The show was originally a three day show, but for some reason they decided to cram it all in one weekend. Thus, the first day had double judging, and the second day ran like a normal show. And as you can see, our first time in the hunter hack class didn't go so well. I merely added the clip to show how Race behaves in the the ring when he's alone. Our second time went rather well. We didn't place, most likely because I got a bit upset when he didn't pick his lead up and stop at the end. Despite the fact that it was a local show where jumping where jumping isn't popular, there were a number of good jumpers in that class. They definately had far more experience in jumping than I did. lol
I'm aware my equitation is horrible, so I don't believe there is a need to tell me that. My horse is green to jumping. He was started on them at the begining of the summer with abosolutely no lessons at all, so you cannot expect him as well as me to be great. We are learning, and enjoying ourselves, so please leave your rude opinions to yourself. (if you have any)
On a random note, (I'm sure you've noticed) my saddle slid back a lot in these classes. Race has high withers, and I can't seem to find any sort of pad that will keep it from sliding. I think my best option is to by a breast collar.
Also, Race has been ignoring my bit again. (which is reason why he held his head rather high through the classes). I put him back in the shank/snaffle combo I use to ride him in, and I hope it will help.
@hotmorganlover Haha Thanks. I was on the Winneconne team, but I will no longer be doing it because I graduated from high school. As for tips, I don't really have any. If they give you some practice time at the district shows, do them because they'll help you get a feel for the course.

@MonteStrides
Thank you! Yeah, the first time was hideious. I intentionally uploaded that clip to show just how strange Race acts when he doesn't want to be alone and lets his anxiety get the better of him.
