I moved into this town last weekend. Something was not right.
I moved into this town last weekend. You know, something was not right.
People were looking at me strangely when I was going out at night.

Yesterday I met a bunch of kids. They looked at me with terror.
Yesterday I met a bunch of kids. They looked at me with terror.
One of 'em looked me right between the eyes, said "Gotta get the Hell outta Santa Clara."

I looked into the sky last evening, and I swear that I saw Kiefer.
I looked into the sky last night, saw someone flying through the air, and it was Kiefer!
He disappeared behind a cloud. I said, "Somebody must've dusted that last reefer."

Last night I met a beautiful girl. I thought her pointed teeth were tricky.
Last night I met a sexy girl, but don't you know that getting around them pointed teeth was tricky.
She was a damn fine performer, but she gave me one hell of a hickey!

Tonight I met that same bunch of kids and got caught up in the crossfire.
Tonight I met those same kids carrying water guns, and I got caught up in the crossfire.
One thing I really hate about this town, you know it's all the damn vampires!
One thing I really hate about this town: It's all the vampires.

(And yes, I know that the town is Santa CARLA in the film, but when I wrote the song I'd misremembered it.)

The funniest part is, there IS actually a town in California named Santa Clara. I used to live there. No joke.

lost boys takes place in santa carla not santa clara. santa carla is a made up town but most sences for the town including the boardwalk was filmed in santa clara
