  • cocaine is a hell of a drug. ALex damn sure know s that. He has no teeth now

  • When God gives talent, it doesnt matter who approves or disapproves..their opinion certainly doesnt stop the show. Alex didnt need Prince because he made it successfully on his own anyway and was in my opinion the significant sound of the 1980's genre. I grew up on Alexander;s music and could not imagine the decade without him. Im glad he didnt let anyones opinion stop him.

  • @DaOrigTruthSeeker i agree also

  • @DaOrigTruthSeeker Alexander O'neal is a SWEETHEART!!!!! This man went through so much in order to be an r&b singer in america because of his physical image. People wanted him to rap and do hip hop, and that just was not his style. He is an excellent singer and america should have accepted him for who he was instead of trying to 'type cast' his perceived image instead of allowing him to show his true colors.

  • Prince felt he was too dark skinned for the group's image to be the front singer. I think Prince is a piece of shit for that. Alexander is being nice in this interview but if you go listen to him explain in more details when he was profiled by UNSUNG he explains it out of his own mouth. So none of you say this is gossip about Prince....it is,what it is. Again i say Prince is a piece of shit for that.

  • @scientrophic I have too agree.

  • I, too, wonder if Prince felt threatened by Alex's voice and his complexion. Alex has that old-school, southern-fried, old-blues and soul singer throaty voice and I still dig it. I remember playing an alto sax solo to "Sentimental" during my High School's senior week back in 1991 and I STILL rock Alex to this day!!! I just wish he hadn't of moved to the UK, but I understand. Thanks for posting this!

  • Alex always looked high as hell in all his videos. His eyes looked glassy. I think he like da weed mon! Go back and take a look at his old vids and see.

  • rumor has it he liked the nose candy too much thats why he got kicked out

  • alex now you know you was smokin thats why u didnt it in,,,,,but your songs are still tight.....the lovers is one of my favs
