  • The 2007 US Census results show that according to a one-year American Community Survey (doc. # CB07-CN.06), 77% of commuters drive alone to work.

Most traffic congestion surveys use 1.2 as the average number of occupants per vehicle when planning new road works.

  • The more I look at this early prototype PUMA based on its URBAN application, the better I think the idea actually is.

The average car only has one occupant at any given time. You can park 6 PUMAs in the space of ONE regular car and get 2 PUMAs side by side in each car lane putting a HUGE dent in congestion commute times, fuel use & pollution.

Only $0.35 cents to go 35 miles at 35-mph!

This may be the answer once this early prototype is "fleshed-out" with full body, doors, AC, etc.

  • Uhhh...is that a Caddy Escalade Hybrid in the back?
