everyone else who's met him says he's a cool guy and is humble all the way..i don't think hed have so many close friends if he wasn't..you can hear the other swimmers talk about how he's a good guy and there best friends with him. i'm meeting him this summer and for right now i don't belive you..sorry but thats my opinion

I've met the guy twice, and let me say he puts on a major act when he knows he is on camera. The guy is a cocky prick who thinks he is way to good for everybody. And he's not modest @ all about his golds, his immodesty is implied with every arrogant word he utters. You want a modest and humble gold medalist, find Jason Lezak and talk to him. Cool guy.

I love Michael Phelps. I like that he is so modest about winning all those gold medals. And when he isn't swimming, he's acts like any other 23 year old.
