The mission was to install a Bird peak reading kit in the customers already existing box. We wanted an OEM Bird kit, not an aftermarket kit, so it was challenging to fit it in the box. Second consideration was to make it easy to change the batteries. Third there had to be provisions for the peak / ave switch to come through to the outside. Last we wanted to make it portable and easy to plug in and remove the meter from the system. Before it was very hard wired.
