[Christ took our punishment that we deserved to save us from the curse of our sins. That by letting go of them, repenting of our sins: lies, stealing, lusting, blaspheme (using God's holy name in vain or casually), hatred, pride, fornication, worship anything but Him, not putting God first in our lives, not honoring our parents, impure thoughts, coveting things. By giving these up to Christ, turning away from them, fleeing from them, that we can receive the gift of grace by putting our trust in Jesus Christ, the Lamb of Sacrifice. God while make us a new creation, will give us a new heart a new desire for Him, for His glory. That you will have a passion to fight in the battle that is waging against our on flesh, this world, and Satan. To equip yourself with the double edge sword, which is God's Holy Word, the Bible, that pierces through the hearts of man. For it is how God speaks to us through His Word and the only way to know Him to hear Him is by reading His Word.
... they is nothing we can do to save ourselves, its all in what Jesus did for us, and through Him and Him alone are we save. He is the truth the life and the way. There is no good works or through no man made religion or rituals to pay for your way to heaven. You can never be good enough because there is no such thing as a "good person" in God's eyes we are all evil and tainted with sin. but for those who Christ has redeemed, God has washed clean and has a place at His table prepare for them.
If you have not given up your life to God, but still hold on to your own endeavors, your sins in your hands, drop them and walk away, and receive the precious gold of God's grace through trusting in Jesus Christ. Then God will make you clean and when you die you will be forever with Him worshiping the Holy, Awesome, Powerful, Just, Merciful, Loving God who saved us from our sins. That is our purpose are mission to glorify God.]

that was a silly statement, made without much wisdom put in to it.

You tried to state an absolute truth, and the only way to state an absolute truth that there is no God, would be that you would have to know everything about everything. Such as the number of the stars in the sky.

Ex. If i said there is no gold in China. I'd have to such out all of China to find there is no gold.

But if I say there is gold in China. All I have to do is find one little bit of gold to make that statement a truth.
